Walking Meditation Through the Woods.

Feet touch the damp Earth as green, wet leaves stick to well worn heels as they reach a small clearing on the edge of a forest. The smell of Earthy life fills lungs and relaxes muscles. A reverent hush rolls through the emerald forest and the silent figure stops to gaze up into the rain soaked branches just as a cool drop falls upon the fore head--the third eye. The person smiles, breathes deeply and methodically and slowly continues down the meandering path until they disappear into another dense stand of forest as quickly as they appeared. Somewhere a crow announces its arrival.

Quiet woods is a perfect place to do a meditation. It's fairly obvious that you'll have a peaceful mind and set yourself free from pollution. If you aren't able to go in to a forest to do meditation, chanting this poetry is very effective and gives you a mind set of imagining yourself in that place.

As a matter of fact, picturing yourself in a beautiful and calm place is one of the best ways to meditate. This way of meditation is also being utilized in Theta healing sessions. Although, a practitioner of Theta healing can't physically enter a forest to meditate, imagining a tranquil surrounding is enough to have an exceptional meditative experience.

Beautiful photo!! I've always wanted to visit that area, I have family in the area that i've never met, I should try to make a trip down there. There's a place near my house that I hike that is similar to this, but you need 13 pairs of pants and Gaiters just to make it out alive!
